Dear colleagues,
We are conducting an international survey that includes hematology specialists to help better understand the perception of healthcare providers regarding venous thromboembolism (VTE) and bleeding from pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis in the pediatric population.
We sent out an initial version of the survey in June 2024, but our team decided it needed another revision to improve its clarity. We apologize for any inconvenience. We would truly appreciate your participation again. Your opinion and answers are extremely valuable and would help improve the understanding and care for pediatric VTE. It should take approximately 5 to 10 mins. to complete.
The aims of this survey are: (1) to determine the perceived relative clinical significance of venous thromboembolism and bleeding from pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis in children, and (2) to identify factors that modify this.
You may contact Robert Huibonhoa, MD at huibonhr@uic.edu for any questions or comments. Thank you very much for your time. We truly appreciate your involvement with this project.
